What you will be doing:
*Designing and building software that’s extensible, reusable, and above all simple to maintain
*Develop set processes for data mining, data modeling, and data production
*Own the data development process end to end including business understanding, methodology, QA, and maintenance
*Assist with schema design, code review, SQL query tuning.
*Develop a scalable, distributed software as part of an Agile team
*Estimate, plan, and manage actual work, based on the prioritized backlog
*Implement software enhancements and suggest improvements
*Collaborate with members of your team (e.g., Analysts, BI Developers, ML Engineers) on the project’s goals
Desired experience and skills:
*4+ years of proven backend development in JAVA 8+/Scala/Python 3
*Experience in writing SQL queries and a understanding of the SQL engine
*Hands-on experience with CI/CD
*Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
*Familiarity with Linux
*Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes or at least with containerization and its orchestration
*A team player with a "can-do" attitude
*Good written and spoken English
*Relevant academic degree in Information Systems/Computer Science or equivalent
Nice to have:
*Hands-on Experience with Apache Spark and NoSQL DBs (Redis, Elasticsearch, Cassandra)
*Hands-on Experience with Spring/Spring Boot
*Familiarity and understanding of Microservices architecture
*Familiarity with a variety of big data technologies in the big data world
*Familiarity with AWS
